Forum Feedback is Now Closed

All public forums were held in the Board Room at the District Office. The forums were open for you to attend in person, online and was recorded for viewing by those unable to attend. Recordings of Finalist Forums were available for viewing and providing feedback from 12 pm Tuesday, April 22nd through midnight Thursday, April 24th.

Each forum was 45 minutes and provided the opportunity for finalists to introduce themselves and respond to questions prepared in advance from internal and external community member suggestions.

Dr. Christine Holt

In 2021, Dr. Christine Holt began her appointment as the chancellor of the University of Arkansas, Hope-Texarkana (UAHT).  In this role, she serves as the CEO of two campuses in Southwest Arkansas and the James Black School of Bladesmithing in Historic Washington. 

From 2018-2021, Holt served as chief of staff for the president and chancellor of the University of Missouri System.  Before assuming the role of chief of staff, Holt served as an associate provost at Mizzou (MU), a top tier research, land-grant and flagship university, where she managed a substantive portfolio and was engaged in various projects including strategic planning, accreditation, diversity faculty hiring, academic personnel issues, employment discrimination, Title IX, campus safety, space utilization and other special initiatives.

Prior to coming to Missouri, Holt served as the dean of academic administration at the Annandale campus of Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA).  In this role, she oversaw strategic planning, enrollment management, space utilization, specialized degree programs, campus outreach, dual enrollment, evening administration, the adjunct office, and the Center for Academic Assistance. 

Overall, Holt has over 30 years of experience in higher education and compulsory education.  Holt’s knowledge and expertise extends beyond the field of education.  While in Ohio, she earned a law degree and practiced in the areas of family and juvenile law.  For several years, Holt was employed as a guardian ad litem for children and the elderly.

Holt holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Capital University (OH), a master’s degree in adult education from East Carolina University (NC), a juris doctor degree from Cleveland–Marshall College of Law (OH), and a doctorate in business administration with special emphasis in leadership and management from the University of Missouri, St. Louis (MO).

Dr. Tia Robinson-Cooper is a visionary leader with over two decades of experience in roles such as Chancellor, President, Provost, and Vice-President. A passionate advocate for the transformative power of community colleges, she believes in their ability to change lives one student at a time. Her leadership is characterized by innovative workforce partnerships and a result-driven approach that prioritizes student access, student success and institutional growth. As an equity-minded leader, she is dedicated to empowering campus communities to critically examine and address policies and practices that perpetuate inequities, with a steadfast focus on achieving fair and just outcomes for all students.

Dr. Robinson-Cooper is committed to removing barriers to education and promoting social and economic mobility. Known for her servant leadership style, she fosters collaboration and transparency to advance student outcomes and community engagement. Her tenure at various institutions has been marked by a dedication to removing barriers to education and promoting the social and economic mobility of students.  Dr. Robinson-Cooper holds an Ed.D. in Counseling and Adult Higher Education and a B.S. in Speech Language Pathology from Northern Illinois University, an MBA and M.S. in Organizational Leadership from National Louis University, and an A.S. in Business Administration from Kishwaukee College.

A proud University of California, Davis Wheelhouse Fellow with a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin’s top-ranked doctoral program, Dr. Wei Zhou has extensive California community college administrative experience in multi-campus districts and Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs) serving large geographic areas and rural, suburban and urban communities as dean, vice president and president at Cerritos, Copper Mountain, Crafton Hills, Cuyamaca, and Evergreen Valley colleges. Through these experiences, he has developed in-depth knowledge and broad competencies in instructional and student services, institutional research, human, technology, facilities and fiscal resources, and marketing. Within multi-campus districts, he has committed to supporting districtwide coordination and alignment in programming and processes while recognizing the unique culture of and communities served by each college so that the district operates as an integrated system that runs cooperatively, efficiently, and effectively in serving the diverse service area and student population.

Dedicated to academic excellence, college access, success, employee and organizational development, and community engagement, Wei has fostered an equity-minded, global vision in a learning-centered, data-informed environment. He is well received for his commitment to a broad-based consultative culture engaging faculty, staff, administrators, and students. Thanks to the support from talented, dedicated and hardworking faculty, staff, administrators and students during his leadership, his colleges were ranked among the nation’s fastest-growing community colleges, developed innovative, award-winning on-campus and online instructional and student support programs, and achieved regions’ top transfer and graduation rates.

Wei has also fostered collaborative relationships with business and industry, K-12 schools, higher education institutions, government and community organizations, and elected officials. In addition, he has been invited to serve on a number of local, county, regional, state and national boards and committees. Moreover, Wei has led statewide teams to help California community colleges on accreditation, integrated planning, enrollment management, staff and organizational development, instructional and student support program development, implementation of Guided Pathways framework, and distance education.
