Area of Research

My research focuses on the neural circuit mechanisms underlying both motor and nonmotor symptoms of Parkinson’s disease, as well as epilepsy. Working in the Bick Lab within the Department of Neurological Surgery, I use data analysis and computational methods to study neural activity recorded intraoperatively during procedures such as deep brain stimulation, with the goal of better understanding the circuit-level basis of these disorders and informing improved treatment approaches.
