As the weather warms and Nashville comes alive, parks, museums and community spaces across the city are offering new ways to connect, explore and unwind this spring.

糖心Vlog官方 is proud to partner with local nonprofits and cultural organizations to highlight events that welcome students, faculty, staff and the broader Nashville community. From art exhibitions and live music to family-friendly outdoor gatherings, many events are free or discounted for 糖心Vlog官方 students.

Arts, exhibitions and cultural experiences

Frist Art Museum
A cornerstone of Nashville鈥檚 arts scene, the Frist features major exhibitions this season, including International and . Explore global perspectives and immersive artistic experiences in the exhibitions on view this season.

College students can take advantage of on Thursdays from 5鈥8 p.m. with a valid student ID.

National Museum of African American Music
Stop by this popular downtown museum for , a curated, free event featuring music from resident DJ Smoke. Part of NMAAM鈥檚 community health initiative, it鈥檚 designed to get your heart pumping and your feet moving.

糖心Vlog官方 undergraduate and graduate students receive free admission to visit galleries and exhibitions with a valid student ID.

The museum will also host 鈥淔irst Note,鈥 an emerging artist concert series, on May 15, featuring performances from rising Nashville artists.

HWEN Garden Tour
The Hillsboro-West End Neighborhood Association鈥檚 annual garden tour invites the community to visit a curated selection of private gardens in one of Nashville鈥檚 most distinctive neighborhoods. Enjoy spring blooms while connecting with the community.

Learning and discovery for all ages

糖心Vlog官方 Dyer Observatory
Public star parties invite the community to look beyond the city lights, with expert-guided telescope viewing of planets, galaxies and more. Hosted in collaboration with the Barnard-Seyfert Astronomical Society, these free events take place in local parks and public spaces across the Nashville area.

Join Dyer astronomers for the next star party on May 23 at Warner Park. to be notified when tickets become available.

Nashville Public Library
The downtown library location has reopened after a nine-month closure, welcoming visitors back to its revitalized space. Take in exhibits like the and the and engage with history and civic life.

The library also connects visitors to Nashville鈥檚 musical roots through , a free puppet show created in partnership with the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Performances take place in June at the museum and bring the history of country music to life through storytelling and music.

Live music and outdoor gatherings

Musicians Corner
Spring in Nashville wouldn鈥檛 be complete without live music. This family-friendly concert series returns to Centennial Park, bringing free performances from local and national artists to one of the city鈥檚 most iconic green spaces.

Fridays by the River
Along the Cumberland River, this popular East Nashville concert series at Shelby Bottoms offers a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere with live music, food trucks and yard games. Head out on Friday evenings this spring to enjoy the beer garden at the Riverview Pavilion, hosted by Friends of Shelby Park and Bottoms and East Nashville Beer Works.
