{"id":943,"date":"2016-05-26T18:50:36","date_gmt":"2016-05-26T18:50:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vanderbilt.edu\/enrollmentbulletin\/?page_id=943"},"modified":"2022-02-16T20:06:48","modified_gmt":"2022-02-16T20:06:48","slug":"test-credit","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.vanderbilt.edu\/enrollmentbulletin\/academic-regulations\/test-credit\/","title":{"rendered":"Test Credit"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>Undergraduate Schools<\/h4>\n<p>Undergraduate students may earn credits from the following tests:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>College Board Advanced Placement Examinations<\/li>\n<li>International Baccalaureate tests<\/li>\n<li>Departmental examination<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/registrar.vanderbilt.edu\/advanced-level-examination-scores\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">British G.C.E. \u201cA\u201d level examinations<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Credits for the following examinations are determined on an individual basis. Entering students who have taken these examinations must submit copies of the syllabi and an official report of the grades earned to the relevant Office of Academic Services for evaluation of credit.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE)*<\/li>\n<li>Cambridge Pre-U diploma, or similar tests, such as the French baccalaur\u00e9at, the German abitur, or the Swiss maturit\u00e9 examinations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Specific policies governing advanced credit are outlined in the <a href=\"https:\/\/registrar.vanderbilt.edu\/catalogs\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Undergraduate Catalog<\/a>. Please note that credit policy is subject to change.<\/p>\n<p>*To qualify for credit for AICE examinations, students must have achieved an A or B thereon.<\/p>\n<h4>School-level Policies<\/h4>\n<h5>Blair School of Music<\/h5>\n<p>Students may be admitted to advanced music courses on the basis of placement tests at Blair, but no credit is awarded for music courses exempted.<\/p>\n<h5>College of Arts and Science<\/h5>\n<p>Students are limited to a total of 18 credit hours earned by any combination of advanced placement, international baccalaureate credit, advanced international credit, and credit by departmental examination, counting toward the minimum number of hours required toward the degree.
