If you do not have an enrollment appointment, you will not be allowed to register for classes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Before Registration<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Log into <a href=\"http:\/\/yes.vanderbilt.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\">YES<\/a> and check your registration appointment date and time.<\/li>\n<li>Clear all registration-related holds (academic, adviser, financial, etc.). Active holds appear on the Student Landing Page in <a href=\"http:\/\/yes.vanderbilt.edu\/\">YES<\/a>. If your hold has not been cleared by your appointment date and time, the system will block your registration request.<\/li>\n<li>Check your school adviser policy.<\/li>\n<li>Consult your school\u2019s final exam schedule.<\/li>\n<li>Clear any class specific instructor or department consents. Class consents can be found under the Class Details in the YES schedule of classes.<\/li>\n<li>It is the student\u2019s responsibility to ensure that their registration accurately reflects their intended enrollment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Where do I register?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/yes.vanderbilt.edu\/\">YES<\/a><\/li>\n<li>All changes made outside of registration and Open Enrollment must be worked through your <a href=\"https:\/\/registrar.vanderbilt.edu\/registration\/school-contacts.php\">academic services office<\/a>. Changes may incur a mark on the student transcript.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Preventing Common Registration Errors<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Confirm that you do not have any conflicting classes. If a class overlaps, it is considered a conflict. To wait-list for a conflicting class, see the <a href=\"http:\/\/registrar.vanderbilt.edu\/registration\/yes-user-guides\/\" target=\"_blank\">drop-if-enrolled<\/a> YES user guide.<\/li>\n<li>Corequisite classes must be enrolled in at the same time. Add both to your cart, change both class drop downs to \u201cenroll\u201d, and click submit.<\/li>\n<li>Confirm you have taken the prerequisite or that the prerequisite is reflected on your Academic Record on the external tab. Prerequisites will either feed in as test credit or transfer credit.<\/li>\n<li>If a course is out of your career, you will need to speak with your <a href=\"http:\/\/registrar.vanderbilt.edu\/registration\/school-contacts\/\">academic services\u00a0office<\/a> or adviser to determine eligibility to enroll.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Registration Assistance<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Office of the University Registrar offers technical assistance. Please start by viewing one of the many <a href=\"http:\/\/registrar.vanderbilt.edu\/registration\/yes-user-guides\/\" target=\"_blank\">YES user guides<\/a>. You may also contact the YES Help Desk by <a href=\"mailto:yes@vanderbilt.edu\" target=\"_blank\">email<\/a> or phone at\u00a0615-343-4306.\u00a0If you still need assistance, please contact the appropriate school representative.
