{"id":31,"date":"2016-02-09T15:59:55","date_gmt":"2016-02-09T15:59:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vanderbilt.edu\/enrollmentbulletin\/?page_id=31"},"modified":"2025-07-10T16:06:20","modified_gmt":"2025-07-10T16:06:20","slug":"open-enrollment","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.vanderbilt.edu\/enrollmentbulletin\/registration-essentials\/open-enrollment\/","title":{"rendered":"Open Enrollment"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4><strong>Undergraduate Students<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>A student whose registration choices are denied or altered (full or canceled class, lack of prerequisite courses, etc.) may select alternate courses during the Open Enrollment period of registration.\u00a0It is the student\u2019s responsibility to ensure that their registration accurately reflects their intended enrollment.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/yes.vanderbilt.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">YES<\/a> is available during Open Enrollment.<\/li>\n<li>Course changes may be made during the Open Enrollment period as published in the <a href=\"http:\/\/registrar.vanderbilt.edu\/calendar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">undergraduate academic calendar<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>A course dropped\u00a0during Open Enrollment does not show on a transcript.<\/li>\n<li>Regularly enrolled students must maintain a minimum course load of 12 hours.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>Graduate and Professional Students<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>A student whose registration choices are denied or altered (full or canceled class, lack of prerequisite courses, etc.) may select alternate courses during the Open Enrollment period of registration. Unless otherwise stated, changes should be made in <a href=\"https:\/\/yes.vanderbilt.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">YES<\/a> during the Open Enrollment dates published in each school&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/registrar.vanderbilt.edu\/calendar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">academic calendar<\/a>.\u00a0It is the student\u2019s responsibility to ensure that their registration accurately reflects their intended enrollment.<\/p>\n<h5>Divinity\u00a0School<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Any changes made outside of registration must be approved by the Divinity Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Law School<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>All short course changes made outside of the standard Open Enrollment period must be made through the Office of Academic Life.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>School of\u00a0Medicine<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Contact the <a href=\"https:\/\/medschool.vanderbilt.edu\/explore-vusm\/enrollment-services\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Office of Enrollment Services<\/a> with all registration questions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Undergraduate Students A student whose registration choices are denied or altered (full or canceled class, lack of prerequisite courses, etc.) may select alternate courses during the Open Enrollment period of registration.\u00a0It is the student\u2019s responsibility to ensure that their registration accurately reflects their intended enrollment.
